About Starlight

Starlight UV Sun Paper brings science and creativity together in a simple, hands-on activity for kids, families, classrooms, and anyone who enjoys experimenting with light.

Our light-activated paper changes when exposed to UV light, allowing you to create images using sunlight, a UV flashlight, stencils, everyday objects, or your own imagination. There’s no developer, fixer, or rinsing required—just expose the paper to light and watch your image appear.

Our Story

Starlight is a family business, and creating something that makes science exciting and approachable for kids has always been at the heart of what we do.

Our daughter Teresa has helped us demonstrate Starlight at schools and art festivals and probably describes it best:

“Hi, I’m Teresa. My family makes Starlight UV Art Paper. My Dad makes the UV paper and my Mom creates the activities. I help my Dad show it at schools and art festivals. I love to demonstrate how it works and see the look on people’s faces when they see it turn blue with just light.”

Those reactions are a big part of why we love Starlight. What starts as an art project can quickly become an introduction to light, shadows, UV energy, experimentation, and creative problem-solving.
